Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen Sell Tribeca Condo for $40 Million
After listing their massive Massachusetts estate shortly before Tom Brady was summoned southward to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the football star and his wife, Gisele Bündchen, are continuing to downsize their real estate portfolio. The power couple are currently finalizing a deal to sell one of their units in a Manhattan luxury building for just under $40 million, the New York Post reports.
The 12th-floor condo is located in a Robert A.M. Stern–designed building overlooking the Hudson River in Tribeca. It features five bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen, and a private terrace spanning nearly 1,900 square feet. Elsewhere in the swanky building are 12,000 square feet of amenities, including an 82-foot lap pool, a children’s room, and a private carport. The sale of the unit is expected to close soon, with the buyer said to be an anonymous financier based in the New York tri-state area.
The Brady-Bündchen family, also the owners of an eco-conscious mansion in Los Angeles, purchased the elegant Tribeca space for $25.5 million in 2018, about two years after they bought another, smaller unit in the same building. They will reportedly be retaining that property, with a source telling the Post, “Tom and Gisele still love New York, but they are downsizing because they are spending so much time in Tampa.”
Brady and Bündchen spent their first few months after their arrival in Florida earlier this year renting Derek Jeter’s Tampa mansion, but TMZ reported in October that the pair were in the process of closing on a waterfront property of their own: a five-bedroom house in a Clearwater gated community, with a sticker price of $7.5 million.
